ALTI Automotive Audio Conference (AAAC) Call For Papers

Since 1964, ALTI (formerly known as ALMA) has been known for engaging the Audio Industry with the finest, cutting edge technology information. We have been proud to introduce many new tech innovations, and have created numerous opportunities for our Members and the industry at large, ALTI’s first Automotive Audio Conference will continue that tradition as we forge new ground by focusing on the dynamic and ever evolving automotive environment.
Our first Automotive Audio Conference is scheduled for May 19 and 20, 2022  at the MOC in Munich. We are co-locating with the High End Audio Show and the International Parts Supply (IPS) show. Presentations will take place from 9AM to 5PM . The Conference language will be English.

NEW PRESENTER BONUS: Thanks to our Sponsors, we are able to offer FREE conference attendance for approved presenters at the ALTI Automotive Audio Conference.

The volunteer Chairperson for the Conference Committee of AAAC is Dr. Alfred Svobodnik. Kindly submit your presentation ideas to him. Note: You do not have to be a Member of ALTI to participate.

Call for Papers: AAAC 2022

Automotive audio technology is changing faster than ever. Recent developments in legal and customer requirements and the clear move towards electrical powertrains will probably (or hopefully?) disrupt the industry. Some audio features in cars are nowadays even safety relevant and need to pass a homologation process. At least the business environment already sees a disruptive change. These changes open the doors for additional challenges and require innovative solutions that we would like to discuss within the context of this conference.

The goal is to present the current state-of-the-art in trending topics, and to address new emerging disciplines involved in this ever-changing technical field. Automotive audio needs a multidisciplinary approach including disciplines such as power electronics, bus systems, transducer and loudspeaker design, signal processing (DSP), acoustics & vibrations (NVH) and more.

Hence, we accept papers that discuss the following topics:

  • Audio system architectures and system design
    • Acoustics
    • Electronics
    • Power amplification
  • Transducer and loudspeaker engineering
  • Spectral and spatial processing
    • Sound tuning
    • Immersive audio
  • Sound design
    • Active noise cancellation
    • Engine sound enhancement
    • Hands-free communication
    • In-car communication
    • Acoustic Vehicle Alerting Systems (AVAS)
    • eCall
  • Digitalization and virtual product development
    • Virtual Acoustics
    • Computational Acoustics
    • Digital Twins
  • Assessment of sound quality
    • Subjective evaluations
    • Objective evaluations

Interested parties are invited to submit ideas to our Conference Committee for presentations with the following information:

  • Full name of presenter
  • Company or school affiliation
